Delray Police Officer Mark Woods spoke regarding lighting and recent crime problems in Delray. LIGHTING: Committee responsible for yard lighting (not carports).Coordination of yard, carport and bldg. Lighting recommended from design standpoint. PUBLIC ADJUSTOR: Original firm asked for 20% cut. Requesting $7000.payment. New firm (Epic) desires to pursue additional storm damage money and agrees to handle claim from orig. firm. SOCIAL; No report RECREATION: No report INSURANCE; No report BUILDING CAPTAINS: Bikes stolen in bld.. 3. Suggestion to key storage entrance doors to common door key. Would cost $175 per bld. And staff could do work. HARBOR: Waiting for main dock repair FINANCE: Damage to grass & shrubs to be covered by Lindman contract. PAINTING: Committee working on colors. Replacement of catwalk lights recommended by two contractors so far. OLD BUSINESS; CONCRETE RESTORATION SAFETY: Need to stay off open balconies. RAILINGS: Motion to replace all railings in whole complex, second, approved. CARPORTS: Committee to start work. SUNSHADES: Contractor cannot put them up. Owner can do when contractor leaves. ELEVATOR CONTRACT: Three bids for maintenance obtained by Rick Turner. RULE BOOK: Tile in common areas not ok. Much discussion of screened common areas and other rule violations that are not being pursued. POOL SECURITY: Mark Wilcox to investigate cost of fence & gating of pool to avoid lawsuit. We are exposed to potential lawsuits with our present fencing. ADJACENT PARK: To start work in next 30 days. MISC: Denny bldg 3 sliders not to code. We cannot reinstall. Meeting adjourned 9pm.
